Paraprofessional: The work schedule for this position is part-time, part year working 12 hours a week from August to May. Schedule: 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Tuesday through Friday. Additional hours to be available during the summer as a Substitute Teacher.
Position Purpose: The Paraprofessional duties are supervising, supporting, and monitoring student behavior during daily activities, especially transitions (meals, playground, hallways and walks, and nap time). The position fluctuates between direct, one-on-one assistance and background support. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in a classroom setting and be open and willing to accommodate unique needs in an inclusive environment.
Pay Range: The pay range for this position is $15.16 - $16.57 an hour, dependent on education and experience.
Minimum requirements:
- High school diploma/GED
- Three months of prior experience with children required, 6+ months paraprofessional experience preferred.
- Cleared criminal background check required.
